In March 2020, Our Angels were delighted to present the Harrogate district hospital with a cheque for £45,000. This money is going towards the total refurbishment of the Ferndale Suite in the maternity ward.

We have turned this room into a fully usable, medical room with everything needed to ensure the heartbreaking experience of stillbirth can be managed as professionally, comfortably, and as gently as possible.

This project has been years in the planning and has been developed by the midwives and by families who have previously used the room for their own stillbirths. In doing this, we have made sure the room fulfills all needs and is as practical as possible.

The incredible amount of money donated, was not raised by Our Angels alone. Families have undertaken some incredible fundraising feats in memory of their own precious babies and they wanted this money to go towards helping others who find themselves in the same terrible situation.

Sadly due to the Corona crisis work had to be halted on the room, however, it will be completed as quickly as possible, when it is safe to do so.
