Here at Our Angels, it's our commitment to providing midwives and other health professionals with the opportunity for bereavement training. This is an absolute core part of our ongoing strategy. This is an immensely challenging situation for any midwife or health professional to find themselves in.

Our Angels are so pleased that Harrogate District Hospital now has a dedicated bereavement midwife. We truly believe this will give a vital support structure to Harrogate’s health professionals when dealing with baby loss.

We hope that if you’ve attended one of our training courses, you've found that it has given you a useful framework into some positive methods for handling the situation, some coping strategies for yourself, an insight into some things that might seem positive, but perhaps are in fact, not!

Please remember to be kind to yourselves too. Whilst this is the most traumatic situation imaginable for parents, it is hugely emotionally challenging for professionals too.
